How to get to the University of Bremen
  • by rail:
    • Leave Bremen Central Station toward the south (city center). Taxi and streetcar drive out directly from the station free area. Driving to the University of Bremen with the taxi costs about € 10,-. It is cheaper with the streetcar: Take the streetcar line 6 toward the university. You can step off at the following stops: "Universität NW1", "Universität/Zentralbereich" or "Klagenfurter Straße" (terminus).
  • by air:
    • Driving from the airport to the University of Bremen with the taxi costs about € 18,-. The streetcar line 6 drives from the airport directly to the university. You can step off at the following stops: "Universität NW1", "Universität/Zentralbereich".
  • by car:
    • If you come from the A1 (freeway 1), change at "Bremer Kreuz" to the A27 toward Bremen Bremerhaven. Leave the A27 at the departure "Universität/Horn Lehe" and drive toward "Centrum/Universität". On the campus and in the "Technologiepark Universität" sufficient parking lots are available (starting from € 0,60/day).

Public transportation in Bremen

Bremen offers a very well developed public transport system with busses and trams, with the university being well connected with the city. At the conference office you can get day passes for 5.90 € or 7-day passes for 16.10 €. The public transport company offers a timetable service at www.bsag.de (alternatively use www.vbn.de). Enter "Bremen Uni/Zentralbereich" as destination.
